MARTIN AND HIS NEW 500 FRIENDS

Blue World Foundation traveled to Livingston, Izabal on the 3rd, 4th, 5th and 6th of April to deliver 500 coloring books for “MARTÍN AND HIS FRIENDS”.

The books were delivered to the Creek Chino school and public school of Kindergartens “Lucila Morales Sosa”. It was also used to deliver these books to fishermen with children of Livingston. Through these books it is intended to educate and change the negative perception that children have about sharks and so they can learn about shark biology and some curious facts.

We thank the United States Department of State for supporting the implementation of this project.

From 27th to 30th March, the Omoa Conservation Corps (CCO) was in the community of Barra Omoa, Honduras. During the visit the workshops on biology, ecology, importance and current problematic of the Sharks were carried out. The workshops were held at the Sotero Barahona School, where 84 children changed their negative perception of sharks. This collaborative project between the Blue World Foundation and OMOA preservation bodies has been made possible by the support of the United States Department of State.

UNCLE ROO

During the last week of March, Blue World Foundation team was working in the community of El Quetzalito. During this visit, the recording of the play “Uncle Roo, the Recycler Rooster” was finished. This play aims to educate, inspire, and empower young people and children around the world about recycling and good waste management. We greatly appreciate Ocean Recovery Alliance for including in this Eco-repetition project.
