EDUCATIONAL WORKSHOP

During the last week of June, the educational workshop was held in the Caribbean of Guatemala. Through different activities, children were trained on marine pastures, the importance of this ecosystem, key associated species and the main threats in the region. Among the dynamics carried out are collage of drawings on marine pastures, game of sustainable fishing and exhibition on the ecosystem. Thank you very much for your support The Rufford Foundation.

TRAINING FOR QUETZALITO WOMEN IN BPMS

14 women were trained in the community of El Quetzalito. The theme was “quality and safety of fishery products, cold chain, good Manufacturing Practices (BPMs) and commercialization of hydro-biological products”. This multi-conference training was conducted by graduate Fabiola Esquivel, and included theory and practices focused on generating knowledge and capabilities to manipulate fishery products.
